Reading Room Exhibition in August
Cathy Arnfield

A long-standing member of the Roehampton Club Art Group, I have drawn and painted all my life. However, with no formal training since school, the start-up of classes at the Club almost twenty years ago serendipitously coincided with my taking a career break. I have been lucky enough to have studied life drawing, watercolour and currently, painting in acrylic and I am enormously grateful to all the tutors who have encouraged and inspired me. In particular, I would like to thank Kathy Barker who has had the greatest influence over my artistic development.

The theme of this exhibition is ‘High and Low’, encompassing landscapes from two of my favourite places, the Scottish Highlands and the North Norfolk Coast. Although these landscapes are diametrically opposite in terms their physical geography, both have an aura of wilderness and solitude which I find a wonderful counterweight to the bustle of southwest London.

All the pictures are available for sale.
Please contact me if you are interested.
