Chief Executive’s Message

Dear Member,

Health Club re-opening

Staff have been very busy this week preparing the Health Club, ITC and Squash ready for opening this Saturday. We have continued with our safety first policy which Members have responded well to.

All the booking details are here for the various areas:

Studio Classes
Indoor Pool

I am afraid that the Outdoor Pool will be closed on Monday 3rd August for one day as scaffolding needs to be erected next to the pool for a contractor to start work repairing the indoor pool roof. The roof’s insulation needs replacing before the autumn so August is the earliest we were allowed to do this. The work will be carried out externally so the indoor pool can remain open. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

We aim to open the Creche on Sunday 2nd August in conjunction with the safety guidelines laid out by Tinies. Bookings will be taken from Tuesday 28th July by the Creche staff.

Golf guests will be able to play 18 holes on Sunday 2nd August, bookable from this Sunday. As golf bookings look to reduce for August guests can be booked at any time on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays. Please note it is still one guest per Member. Click here for more details

The Golf Professional team will be teaching both Adults and Juniors in August so sign up for group and private lessons. Ricky Pharo has been welcoming Members into the new Sports Shop. Ricky as PGA Services Manager will oversee the Asst. Professionals and work closely with Tristan and Richard to ensure that Members receive a first class teaching and retail service.

Richard Harrison

After 12 years service to the Club I must thank Richard Harrison for smoothly transferring the Sports Shop over to Matthew Paget and his team

Richard as Head Golf Professional will be concentrating upon his successful teaching programme, organising Family Golf days, welcoming new Members into the Club via inductions, playing Captain and Pro matches plus working closely with the Mens’, Ladies’ and Junior teams

Please look out for some of the world’s top players gracing our lawns this weekend trying to win the Ranelagh Cup. This beautiful gold cup is much prized by croquet players throughout the UK. If you’ve always wanted to take up the game the section is hosting family days in August- see here

Member Forum -11th August 6.00pm

Last but not least an important date for the diary is the Member Forum where Chairman, Alan Jenkins, myself and two Directors will do our best to answer Member questions given that the AGM on the 24th August will be held only for formal statutory business.

Please register your interest to attend online at so that we can we send you registration details nearer the time. Please also use the same email address to send in questions by August 9th at the latest.

Best wishes

Marc Newey | Chief Executive |
