125 Summer Party Saturday 27th June

We’re gearing up for the main event of the Club’s 125th anniversary year – the 125 Summer Party. We’re looking forward to celebrating Members, family and friends in the Club’s magical gardens, while enjoying a complimentary glass of Pommery England, our special 125 Brut, drinks priced at £1.25 or £2.50 from bars dotted throughout the gardens, plus Pinkster Gin refreshing cocktails (from £5). The vibrant selection of street food from Britain, Italy, Europe and Asia, looks delicious and will be followed by sweet treats and artisan cheeses.

Relax and soak up the atmosphere from seats on the lawns or chairs in the marquee and dance the night away to live music from Pat Cash and the Rolling Stoics plus DJ. Have fun with our magician, casino with prizes, 8-lane Scalextric, reaction games, and photobooth. 125-party goers can also watch the World Cup England vs Panama football match on the big screen and enjoy a breathtaking drone light show after dark over the 18th green!

Family Day, Grand Slam Champions, Padel and Golf Club Champions

Family Day is taking place on Sunday 28th July but is sold out in advance so sign up for the waiting list in case there are some last-minute dropouts.

It was wonderful to see our top tennis players giving back to the Club that has supported their rise to the top of the sport in the recent Grand Slam Champions evening. Held in the ITC due to the rain, just under 300 Members and guests had the unique opportunity to see our four British World Number One doubles players on court at the same time – Joe Salisbury and Henry Patten were narrowly defeated by the current Wimbledon and Queens Club champions Lloyd Glasspool and Julian Cash. Our rising stars Arthur Fery and Hannah Klugman played against fellow first teamers Anton Matusevich and Brooke Black, and it was great to see Arthur doing so well at Queens Club and Hannah at Nottingham this week.

Congratulations to Connor Hamilton winning the Men’s Golf Club Championship for the first time after being runner up a number of times with an impressive score of 142 winning by 4 shots. Defending Women’s champion Issy Simpson also won by 4 shots with a score of 160 for 36 holes. See full report here

Lastly congratulations to our Padel Club Open Champions, Craig de Silva and Chris Salisbury, plus Daisy Dickson and Steph Cornish winning the Men’s and Women’s titles respectively last weekend where the high standard of play thrilled Members watching all weekend. Javi Carra and Kace Bartley won the Mixed Doubles Open title. For all age group winners please click here

125 Art Group Summer party, 125 Inter Club Swimming Gala, and World Cup of Croquet

Other section events have gone well including the Art Group’s summer party celebrating all the works displayed around the Club by members of the Art Group and PhotoClub. Some of the works will be displayed around the Club for posterity.

I was pleased to present the new 125 trophy to Hurlingham Club for winning the Inter Club gala we hosted with RAC, Lansdowne Club and Roehampton Club competing in a variety of indoor pool races thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Our croquet section is gearing up to host the World Cup of Croquet between the 24th and 28th July where England, New Zealand, Australia and USA compete to win the MacRobertson Shield. The section has been hosting a number of top competitions recently and the 100th playing of the MacRobertson Shield in our 125th year will be the ultimate accolade.
