Racketlon 

In 2020 we will welcome back Racketlon to Roehampton Club with the upgraded, International World Tour (IWT) London Open from 24th to 26th July 2020. 

Racketlon is the combination of the four biggest racket sports in the world: Table Tennis, Badminton, Squash and Tennis.

As well as encouraging Members to take part in this year’s London Open (details below) we will be running a, See it / Play it, Members-only Racketlon tournament from 31st July to 2nd August – more information to be released around Easter. Tournament categories

There will be categories for all abilities (from complete beginners to the world’s best players!) and for all ages.

Everyone is guaranteed a minimum of three matches (per singles category) and two matches (per doubles category).

Singles

Men’s A, B, C, D

Women’s A, B, C

Senior Men
(40+, 50+, 60+)

Senior Women (40+)

Juniors: u13 (boys and girls), u16 (boys), u16 (girls), u21 (boys), u21 (girls)

Doubles

Men’s A, B, C

Women’s A

Mixed A,B

Seniors Men: 45+

Seniors Mixed: 45+

 

We will stage the Table Tennis and Badminton (on tournament roll out mats) in the Indoor Tennis Centre (ITC).

How to enter

Entries open 4th March. We have reserved 30 spaces exclusively for Members. If you are interested in participating you must register with the FIR to buy a Player’s Licence in order to enter the tournament (15 euros).

To do this, visit https://bit.ly/38FAxUP and click on ‘Sign Up’.  

The tournament fee has then been reduced for Members to £25 (from £55) for singles and £10 (from £25) per player for doubles. You may enter a maximum of 1 doubles and 1 singles.

If you are taking part, please email all names, email addresses, dates of birth and the playing age group categories (juniors or seniors) in which you are entering to paul.lindsay@roehamptonclub.co.uk 

 

Rough event guideline

Friday 24th July: (typically 9am until 7pm) all doubles categories + first round of some of the biggest single draws (Men’s A, B, C) from about 17.00

Saturday 25th July: (9am until 7pm): all singles categories continue

Sunday 26th July : (9am until 4pm): all single categories finish
