10 years of Remembering Wildlife

Lecture with Margot Raggett MBE

Tuesday 10th June 7.30pm

Breathtaking images of wildlife by renowned photographers, and a journey from PR to animal conservation

Open to all Club Members

Margot Raggett MBE is a former London PR director turned wildlife photographer and conservationist. She will talk about her journey from her first encounter with a poached elephant (while working as a wildlife photographer) to publishing an annual book of photographs celebrating different animals, and raising £1.4million for conservation projects around the world. For this she was awarded an MBE in 2023.

Curry and Quiz

An Evening with Grand Slam Champion Henry Patten

Thursday 12th June 7pm

Current Wimbledon and Australian Open Champion and Club Member Henry Patten will talk about his meteoric rise to fame as a double Grand Slam Champion. Come and celebrate Henry’s achievements just before he defends his Wimbledon crown. Make an evening of it with drinks available from the bar and a delicious dinner before or after the event.

Recent event reviews

Denbies Wine Estate Tour and Lunch

Wednesday 5th February 10.30am

On Wednesday 5th February, Members visited the Denbies Wine Estate for a tour and lunch. On arrival they were greeted with a glass of fizz and enjoyed a short informational film about the vineyard. This was followed with an indoor tour – by fellow Member Shelley Champman – of the vineyard and production facilities accompanied by three extra glasses of wine to try. The tour finished with a two-course lunch with wine around a lovely table in the Denbies Café. Members had time to stock up on some goodies from the shop before getting back on the coach and heading home!

Walking Tour: Kings, Queens, Clubs and Luxury Retail

Thursday 13th February 2pm

Members joined Viv Haxby in central london for one of her ever-popular walking tours. They walked the streets of Pall Mall and St James’s – exploring statues, private members clubs and retail. One Member said ‘Viv was outstanding. Such an interesting afternoon. Thank you Roehampton Club for organising.’
