Lockdown IT Clinics with Chris Bray next week
During the current Coronavirus crisis we appreciate that many Members may encounter technical problems with their electronic devices and have no access to anybody to help them with their problems. Chris Bray, fellow Member and our resident iPad guru, has kindly agreed to run a couple of online IT clinics using the video-conferencing tool, Zoom.
Chris will be online for an hour on Monday 20th April (11.00 to 12.00) and Wednesday 22nd April (14.00 to 15.00) to try to answer any questions that you might have.
Simply join the Zoom meeting, either by going to www.zoom.us or by using the Zoom App if you have a tablet and click on ‘Join a Meeting’

Writing Competition – Juniors aged 9 to 12 Years Old
Time now to focus on the positive and on the activities that we cannot wait to do once again. Ana challenged all the Juniors 9 to 12 years old) to participate in a writing competition with the following theme: What are you most looking forward to doing at the Club when it reopens? Each story should have between 250 and 500 words (no more). We’ve extended the deadline and entries should be emailed to helen.bolt@roehamptonclub.co.uk by Friday 24th April.
Marc Newey – Chief Executive, Helen Bolt – Marketing and Membership Manager and Nicki Davis – Operations Manager (F&B and Events), will be the judges and the results will be presented in the upcoming Recorder on Thursday 30th April.

Audio walks through Putney
Why not combine your permitted daily outdoor exercise with learning about your neighbourhood. Care of Wandsworth Borough Council there are numerous audio walks to free to download and enjoy including a wonderful dramatised history of Putney, based on the novel Buried Alive by Arnold Bennett. If you are in self isolation, they are interesting just to listen to – pick your favourite for when you are can get out again.
