Roehampton Club will host the 2026 National Premier League Finals from Friday 22 May to Monday 25 May 2026.
The National Premier League (NPL) is a top-class standard doubles team competition with over 120 teams taking part, involving a range of club to world ranked players. Teams compete in the league stage of the competition across the UK from November through to March, culminating in the Finals in May, where the top men’s and women’s teams go head-to-head. More information about the Finals will be shared closer to the time, including the many opportunities for Members to get involved. In the meantime, please save the following dates:
This will give Members the chance to hear more about the competition and an opportunity for Members to consider the potential corporate sponsorship opportunities . Members will be required to register their attendance in advance and further details will follow. For any Members that want to become sponsors of the competition, we will also be holding a further Sponsors gathering on Thursday 5 March giving all sponsors the chance to engage ahead of the Finals.
We will be hosting a launch night for all players, with Members warmly invited to join. More details will be shared nearer the time.
Play will start from 10.30am each day and Members are invited to come along and watch the fantastic tennis on show, as well as supporting both Roehampton Club teams!

This week we have had the Wingfield Smart Court (AI-powered cameras) installed on court 1 in the ITC for Members to use. Please see information below about Wingfield and how to use it.
Wingfield is a smart tennis court system that uses cameras and AI to record, track, and analyse your matches or practice sessions.
It automatically:
◊ Records video from multiple angles
◊ Tracks shots, serves, rallies, and errors
◊ Calculates stats (serve speed, shot accuracy, rally length, etc.)
◊ Creates highlight videos and performance summaries
◊ Uploads everything to your Wingfield app for easy review

Ladies’ Morning is a fun and social session held every Thursday morning, open to all female Members of any age and ability. Led by a coach, this session provides a great opportunity to meet fellow Members and enjoy friendly doubles matches.
◊ No pre-registration required – simply drop in on the day.
◊ No player limit – everyone is welcome to join.
◊ Flexible participation – stay for the full 90 minutes or just pop in for a game.
The session takes place on Courts 2 to 5, with play both indoors and outdoors as needed.
Tennis Club Night is the main social evening for all tennis Members—a great opportunity to meet fellow players, enjoy organised doubles matches. Led by a coach, this session ensures a mix of opponents and plenty of good games.
◊ No pre-registration required – just turn up and play.
◊ No player limit – all Members are welcome.
◊ Extended session time – now running for two hours (6pm – 8pm).
◊ Flexible participation – stay for the full duration or drop in for a game whenever it suits you.
The session takes place on Courts 1 to 5, with play both indoors and outdoors as needed.

Please note that the tennis committee have decided that the ball machine can now only be used on indoor courts at off peak times. Therefore between 9am and 12pm on weekends and 9am to 12pm and 4pm to 9pm on weekdays indoor court 1 should not be booked if you plan on using the ‘Slinger’ ball machine. The ball machines can be used at anytimes on the allocated outdoor courts which are courts 6 and 11.

The Ladies First Team have been crowned the National Club Champions.
Olivia Gadecki, Eliz Maloney, Danielle Daley, Danielle Hack and Anastasia Rentouli defeated Bristol, Sutton and David Lloyd Raynes Park (national flagship David Lloyd team).
This is the first time the ladies have won the National title since 2012 and has completed a fantastic year after completing the NPL (winter) and National League (summer) double, the first time the ladies team have ever achieved this feat.
A special thank you to all the girls who played over the year and to Laura Deigman for captaining the side.
Arthur Fery is having quite a summer (2025).
After defeating world number 19 Alexei Popyrin as a Wimbledon wildcard and winning his first ATP challenger even in August, Arthur was called up to the Davis Cup Team alongside Cameron Norrie, Lloyd Glasspool and Julian Cash who have all represented Roehampton Club over the past 10 years.
Arthur who was initially called up as a reserve was substituted in for Jacob Fearnley who picked up a late injury to face Poland.
Arthur put on an impressive display winning 6-4 6-2 which clinched victory for GB.
Congratulations to our Ladies First Team – 2025 national champions!
They claimed victory at the National Club League Finals in Bournemouth beating David Lloyd’s Raynes Park 4-0.
The Men’s First Team were runners up, just losing out on a tiebreaker break shoot out to Raynes Park after splitting the match rubber 3-3.

Congratulations to our Women’s First Team on winning the NPL Doubles’ title recently at St George’s Hill LTC – the trophy is in the new trophy cabinet at the top of the Clubhouse stairs. Our Men’s Team also performed really well but just losing a tight final to Stoke Poges LTC.
