Private Tennis Lesson – Online Booking System

All private tennis lessons can now be booked online using the online Racquets Hub.

Instructions on how to book

  • Click this link: https://roehamptonclubracquets.as.me/schedule.php
  • Click Private Lesson Tab
  • Click Level 3/4/5 Coach – then select 1 hour, 45 minutes or 30 minutes.
  • Now you can click the Coach you know you want or read through biographies and find a coach suitable for you.
  • Click Coach Name
  • Choose the day and time slot available – if you wish to book more than one lesson click re-occurring.
  • Add the number of weeks then click continue
  • Enter Personal Details (enter child name if it is for a child) and click pay now
  • Enter Payment Details
  • You will receive an email confirmation of booking

 

Cancellation policy

The Club has a 48-hour cancellation policy so it will not be possible to get a refund or credit if you cancel within the 48-hour period.

If weather makes it unplayable the lesson will be rescheduled and credited to a future session.

If you wish to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please contact the Coach you booked the session with.

Coaching Team

I’m pleased to announce we have another strong addition to our coaching team. Kitty McWhirter started coaching at Roehampton Club last week. Kitty is an all-round sportswoman but excelled on the tennis court and hockey pitch. She represented the England U21 hockey team and was also ranked in the top 25 tennis players U18. At Durham University Kitty completed an unbeaten season in singles and doubles going on to win the BUCS gold medal with her team. Since leaving university Kitty has completed her Level 1, 2 and 3 LTA tennis qualifications and has worked with some top junior players as well as adults. Kitty is fun, approachable and professional.

Autumn term

The autumn term is now underway. The remaining grass courts in play will close from Monday 20th September. The seasonal airhall over courts 12 to 14 is due to go up in October. This year we have a new airhall with improved internal chandelier lighting that will greatly improve the visibility through the winter months. Due to this there are some ground works that need to be done to support the new structure. Therefore, from 11th October through to the 19th October courts 12-14 will be closed.  We plan to have the airhall open for play from the 20th October if all goes to plan.

Vets Matchplay

This session has been relaunched and now will include all players over 50. It’s a coach-run session that’s free to attend and will include a warmup followed by some doubles matches with hints and tips. Therefore, if you are a competent player who enjoys doubles matches this session is for you. If you would like to attend, please sign up at reception.


National Club League Finals

Last weekend Roehampton Club’s Men’s and Ladies First Teams travelled to West Hants Tennis Club in Bournemouth for the National Club League Finals. Both teams made it through to the semi-finals where they were eventually beaten after two hard-fought matches but all the players put up some strong opposition and will be back next year to hopefully win the titles.
