Summer pickleball courts
From 14 July to 17 August four temporary pickleball courts will be marked out on Indoor Tennis Centre (ITC) court 1 and be bookable via MyCourts.
Details of social sessions and other opportunities to play and experience pickleball will be increased during this time – scroll down for more …
On top of the organised sessions please take this opportunity to play more, try the game for the first time or introduce other Members to pickleball.
Equipment
Pick up equipment from Clubhouse Reception. Your membership card will be required as a deposit. Please put the pickelball nets back towards the blue curtain side of the court after your game.
Dress code
Dress code is the same as for tennis –
◊ when visible, socks, shirts/tops and the ‘above the waist’ part of a dress MUST be at least 90% white.
◊ all other visible clothing, (tracksuits, trousers, shorts, skirts, skorts, leggings, overtops, hats/head coverings and footwear), may be coloured.
◊ Tennis shoes must have non-marking soles
Guests
Members may bring up to three guests to play pickleball. Guests must be signed in on arrival at the Security Gatehouse and guest fees paid at Clubhouse Reception.
Pickleball guest fees: Adult – £16 / U25 – £12
Leagues
There will be a singles and a doubles Summer Pickleball League from 18th July to 17th August to give Members the chance enjoy and play some competitive fun and competitive pickleball over the summer.
The leagues will be administered on Mycourts. Prizes for winners of league and those who play the most matches.

Coaching
Coaching for individuals or up to three players per session on request with Paul Lindsay.

Thursday Ladies Morning 9 – 10.30am
A ladies’ morning for all. There will be a mix of social and competitive matches. This session also has the opportunity to bring new players into the game where they can learn rules and how to play on a separate court allowing regular players to continue enjoying games.

Thursday Ladies Morning 10.30 – 12pm
A Ladies’ Morning open to those who have played regularly and are more intermediate players.
This aims to be a more competitive Ladies Morning where all players must know how to play and score.
If players are newer to the game, the coach has the right to ask players to play in the earlier ladies’ morning time slot.

Thursday Drill session 12 – 1.30pm

This drill session is suitable for players of all levels and focuses on a variety of drills to help refine and develop a full repertoire of shots.
A poll will be sent early in the week to gauge weekly interest.
Please note that this session does not include matchplay.
Friday Rollup 9 – 11am
Bookable via the Pickleball WhatsApp
A session for all players who know how to score and play. No pre-set matches.
Paul will send out a poll early in the week to gauge weekly interest.
On the morning players will mix around and Paul will look to put matches together which are enjoyable and competitive
