Tuesday 13th May – World Famous Photographs

 

Family Croquet Lawn Marquee, 8pm

 

We are looking forward to the welcome return of Brian Stater to help us examine a series of iconic photographs that are embedded in our collective memory.

 

Always an entertaining and informative speaker he will talk about these images, which range from records of historic events to fabulous portraits and scenes of emotional release and joy. His talk will analyse them, trace the stories of how they came to be produced and place them in the context of our appreciation of art.

 

There is no need to book.

Wednesday 14th May – deadline for Annual Photo Exhibition entry forms

The PhotoClub Committee are keen to remind Members of the forthcoming Photo Exhibition Monday 26th May to 6th June with opening drinks on Tuesday 27th April at 6.30pm.

This is open to all Roehampton Club Members using whatever equipment they have. Entry forms have to be received by Reception by 14th May.

Tuesday 27th May – Annual Photo Exhibition opening

There will be a Reception to open the Photoclub Exhibition on Tuesday 27th May at 6.30. All Members are invited to enjoy something in a glass and admire the photographs.

Monday 19th May – Creative Smartphone Photography Class

Save the date for the Creative Smartphone Photography class demonstrated by Jocelyn Horsfall ARPS and Amanda Day LRPS Monday 19th May at 7.30pm.

Tuesday 10th June – 10 YEARS OF REMEMBERING WILDLIFE with Margot Raggett MBE

 

Clubhouse, 7.30 pm – a Club event of  interest to photographers and wildlife lovers.

 

Breathtaking images of wildlife by renowned photographers, and a journey from PR to animal conservation Margot Raggett MBE is a former London PR director turned wildlife photographer and conservationist.

 

Margot will talk about her journey from her first encounter with a poached elephant (while working as a wildlife photographer) to publishing an annual book of photographs celebrating different animals, and raising £1.4million for conservation projects around the world.

 

For this she was awarded the MBE is a former London PR director turned wildlife photographer and conservationist. PhotoClub Visit to the Isabella Plantations

 

PhotoClub  members recently enjoyed a visit to the Isabella Plantations where the bluebells looked lovely and the azaleas were looking wonderful.
