Staff vs Members Football

On 22nd September, Roehampton Club staff played Club Members in a charity football game for the Granville Lloyd trophy, in remembrance of the much-loved and sorely missed member of the Food and Beverage staff.

The match was played in great spirit with no VAR disputes. This year it was the staff who opened the scoring with a well-worked goal however, they were unable to capitalise, and the quality and organisation of the Members shone through over the full game. The Members once again reigned supreme with a final score of 5-2.

All in all, the day was a huge success with the weather once again on our side, and it was finished off with a burger and a drink in the Club Café. In total, we had 25 players take part with all funds raised for the Laurie Todd Foundation. A big thank you to everyone who took part in the match and we look forward to a changed result next year.

Non-cancellation of a group exercise class booking

We have seen an increase in Members not attending their group exercise class and not cancelling their booking. Due to high demand for the classes, it is frustrating for Members who wished to participate but were unable to as the class was fully booked. The Health Club Committee has therefore approved a process for non-attenders who don’t cancel their booking, in line with other sports at the Club.

From Monday 22nd April if you have booked a group exercise class but are unable to attend, the booking must be cancelled at least 12 hours prior to the start time.
If the start time is within 12 hours, then please call the Health Club Reception 020 8480 4245 or email healthclub@roehamptonclub.co.uk.

Failure to follow this procedure will result in that Member receiving a strike and three strikes in a rolling 60-day period will result in a two-week ban from booking group exercise class and five strikes within a 60-day period will lead to a month-long ban from booking.

Changing Room Etiquette

Please ensure that children are supervised while in the changing rooms. We pride ourselves on providing a clean and safe environment for everyone to use however, recently we have had a few situations where children have either damaged or mis-used the changing rooms which has caused additional work for our housekeeping team.
