Roehampton Club Golf Dress Code

All golfers must be appropriately and suitably dressed in golfing attire while playing on the course or on the practice areas. Members need to ensure that these requirements are made known to their families and to their guests. The Club wishes to foster a smart yet congenial atmosphere for playing golf.

Male

HEADGEAR
Must be appropriate to golf and worn the correct way round.

SHIRTS
Must have a collar or a roll neck or golf specific, and must be tucked into trousers or shorts at all times. Rugby and football shirts are prohibited.

TROUSERS
All types of denim jeans, combat style or tracksuit trousers are prohibited.

SHORTS
Only tailored shorts may be worn subject to being within 3’’ above or below the knee. Drawstring and below the knee cargo style are prohibited.

SOCKS
When shorts are worn, either knee high socks (one plain colour) or predominantly white socks which completely cover the ankle must be worn. White trainer liner socks are permitted.

SHOES
Golf shoes must be worn at all times on the course. Trainers are not permitted on the golf course but are allowed on the practice areas.

Female

HEADGEAR
Must be appropriate to golf and worn the correct way round.

SHIRTS
Must have collars or sleeves. Must be tucked in or, if designed to be worn outside, must be long enough to avoid showing the midriff.

TROUSERS
Trousers and cropped trousers must be tailored for golf. Not to include denim or tracksuit.

SHORTS
Only tailored shorts may be worn subject to being within 3’’ above or below the knee. Drawstring and below the knee cargo style are prohibited.

Skirts or culottes may also be worn but these must be tailored for golf, approximately no more than 6’’ above the knee.

SOCKS
Must be worn on the course.

SHOES
Golf shoes must be worn at all times on the course. Trainers are not permitted on the golf course but are allowed on the practice areas.
