Jesty, Miss – 49 years of service working in the office from 1922 to 1971

Johansson, AM – Men’s Tennis Captain 1993.

Johns, Miss A – Roehampton Ladies’ Open Golf Scratch Challenge Cup Winner 1988.

Johnson, Miss P Roehampton Ladies’ Open Golf Scratch Challenge Cup Winner 1986.

Jolly, Herbert – Winner of the twelfth Annual Professional golf tournament at Roehampton Club in 1931.

Jones, Walter – Attended the original meeting in London to discuss the formation of a Polo Club. 

Jones, Mrs M – Ladies’ Tennis Captain 1973-74.

Jowitt, Miss B – Ladies’ Tennis Captain 1972.

Kempton, John – Played in the Junior Meeting at Roehampton Club 13th April 1967 (picture 2). 

Kent, Duke and Duchess of – Lifetime Honorary Members of Roehampton Club in 1935 (picture 3).

Khan, Aga – Enthusiastic golf club Member at Roehampton Club accompanied by his private coaches 1920 Open Champion George Duncan (pictured 4) or young Club Maker Harry Nash (picture 5).

King, Dr TJ – Men’s Golf Captain, 2000

King, Mrs TJ – Ladies’ Tennis Captain 1991-92, 1992-93, 1993-94

Kinloch, Mrs T – Ladies’ Golf Captain 1984

Kitching, Mrs DD – Ladies’ Tennis Captain 1966-67

Knight, MA – Men’s Golf Captain 1992

Krajicek, Richard – Played at Roehampton Club in 1996 in the Club Med Tennis Tournament two weeks before he won the Men’s Singles at Wimbledon (picture 6).

Lacoste, R – Played in Exhibition Match at Roehampton Club in the pre-Wimbledon Tennis Reception at the Club in 1926. 

Lamb, Miss V – Roehampton Ladies Open Golf Scratch Challenge Cup Winner at Roehampton Club 1931

Larcombe, Major – Games manager at Roehampton Club who left in 1923.

Latey, The Right Honourable Sir John – Wrote the foreword for the first edition of the Roehampton Club history, friends with three generations of the Miller Family during his time at Roehampton Club, Men’s Golf Captain 1968 (pictured 7).

Lawrence, Mrs N – Ladies’ Golf Captain 1954.

Lawrence, Mrs R – Ladies’ Golf Captain 1983.

Lawson, John – Chairman of the Club until 1935 and living at Queen Ann House, Lower Grove (now part of Fairacres, Roehampton Lane). Men’s Golf Captain 1924.

Leitch, Miss C – Roehampton Ladies’ Open Golf Scratch Challenge Cup Winner at Roehampton Club 1928 (pictured 8).

Lenglen, Mlle –  Played in exhibition match at Roehampton Club in the pre-Wimbledon Tennis Reception at the Club in 1926 (picture 9).

Lester, RA – Men’s Tennis Captain 1978, 1979

Levy, Miss P – Ladies’ Golf Captain 1949

Lewis, EW – Chairman of the Tennis Committee in 1926

Lisle, JRN – Men’s Tennis Captain 1981, 1982

Lister, Major – Appointed as Polo Manager at Roehampton Club in 1925

Livingstone-Smith, Dr DY – Men’s Golf Captain 1960

Londonderry, Lord – Played Polo in 1919 at Roehampton Club with Winston Churchill, Earl Beatty and Sir Philip Sassoon in what became ‘The War Office Game’

Lucas, Miss D – Ladies’ Golf Captain 1962.

Lunn, Miss K – Roehampton Ladies’ Open Golf Scratch Challenge Cup Winner at Roehampton Club 1998.
