Payment of Table Money and Match Fees

As you know, cash is no longer collected at the table, so fees are collected via our membership Club cards.

Bridge fees must either come from ‘Top Up Levy’ funds which you have added to your card or the Club Credit that was placed on Members’ cards last year which carries over for another two years to 2024.

The 2022 Annual Levy cannot be used for table money/match fees. (This is Club policy as Annual Levy is to be used only in the Club’s catering outlets to purchase food and beverage).

You can log in to ‘My Account’ on the Members’ website home page and you will find your Top Up balance given there. You can also add funds to your Top Up Levy while online in your account.
Reception can also update Members exactly what Club Credit they have left as well as their Top Up Levy balance or add Top Up Levy to their account.

Partner Finder

Several Members have recently asked me how to find partners for our various bridge sessions; either new 2022 Members or those who have perhaps not played since Covid hit us and would like to get back to playing in the bridge room. I have made connections where I can but here are two suggestions of ways to advertise for a partner.

♦ The old-fashioned method of posting a card on a board. Pop into the bridge room and you will find some postcards available underneath the notice board. You can write your details for when you are looking for a partner with your contact details etc.
♦ Using Pianola Partner Finder – Pianola is the platform where our bridge results are posted. You can register on pianola.net  if you haven’t already done so.

Instructions for using pianola partner finder are posted on the notice board in the bridge room, and you can also click this link to find them here.

I am pleased to see some of our recently ‘graduated’ beginners attending the Thursday Social Duplicate.  Thank you to everyone who has been so encouraging and welcoming towards the new attendees. Please keep up the good work it is greatly appreciated!
