Backgammon Report

Last week the Club hosted sixty backgammon players for the annual Mulled Wine and Mince Pie event. The competitors were a mix of Members and guests from other London League Clubs, including some of the top players in the UK.

This event has grown every year since its inception in 2012 and it is now firmly established in the London backgammon diary.

Chris Bray, who together with his wife Gill, runs the Club’s backgammon section gave a short presentation on his recent appointment as the backgammon columnist for The Times. For the remainder of the evening the players took part in multiple eight-player jackpots which were graded according to skill level.

The mulled wine and mince pies rapidly disappeared and the whole evening was a huge success. Our thanks to the Club staff without whom that would not have been possible.
