Winston Churchill – the artist by Claire Walsh

In 1915 Churchill was rescued from depression by the ‘Muse of Painting’ which enabled one of our greatest natural leaders to achieve what he did. His paintings record landscapes from The Riviera, Chartwell and Marakech. This exploration of his talent demonstrates the role it played in his personal and political life. Claire Walsh has lectured at the Courtauld Institute, the V&A and the Museum of London as well as in Europe, the USA and Canada.
