Surrey County Champion – Bea Robson

Congratulations to Roehampton Club junior Bea Robson, who won the U18 Girls’ Singles title at the Surrey County Championships last week.

The Championships took place at the AELTC Community Tennis Centre in Raynes Park, with Bea producing a fantastic week of tennis to take the title.

Bea’s started playing tennis at the Club at the age of four through our junior programme and has progressed through the Roehampton Club pathway. She continues to do a significant amount of her training within our current programme.

A brilliant achievement – congratulations Bea from everyone at Roehampton Club!

Roehampton Club compete in AELTC Quadrangular

On 26th August, Roehampton Club Members visited the All England Lawn Tennis Club to compete in the annual friendly Quadrangular Match, alongside teams from the AELTC, Queen’s Club and Hurlingham Club.

The fixture features three mixed doubles pairs from each club, competing across the 40s, 50s and 60s age categories.

Representing Roehampton Club this year were Nik Snapes and Daisy McLean, Bruce and Vanessa Walker, and Joerg Alting and Mikeala Parker.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our Members to represent Roehampton Club at the AELTC and enjoy some competitive but friendly tennis against three of our fellow clubs.

A big thank you to all our players for representing the Club and to the AELTC for hosting another excellent event.
