World Handicap System
As you may be aware, on the 2nd November, the World Handicap System will become active.
Your club handicap is currently processed within the IntelligentGolf System which is in turn processed under a licence from the Council of National Golf Unions (CONGU).
On 2nd November, the World Handicap System (WHS) will be introduced and your information will be processed by a Central Server provided operated by England Golf.
We will continue to input all of the competition details via IntelligentGolf but under the WHS these will now need to be passed to this Central Server.
In order for Members to be awarded a handicap under the WHS, Roehampton Club needs to provide them with the following information:
- Date of Birth
- Email Address
Under GDPR we feel duty bound to ask everybody to consent to having their data shared with England Golf and to ensure that the relevant information is held in their profile.
It is not compulsory to consent to the use of your data however if you do not consent to these conditions, then on the 2nd November, England Golf will be unable to provide you with a handicap index and you will be ineligible to compete in competitions at Roehampton Club in accordance with the rules from England Golf.
