Croquet Communique

Great weather

Greater disappointment as we continue in ‘lock down’.  Having come through one of the wettest winters ever, with something approaching 600mm of rain, we have moved from cold and dry, to hot and dry and as a result the sprinkler systems are in use daily. The Grounds Staff are still working to maintain the lawns, golf course and tennis courts.

The croquet lawns looked wonderful on Easter Sunday, but sadly not a hoop to be seen.  Thank you to Peter Bradburn for the photo (above).

My mallets ventured into the garden over Easter to enjoy the good weather.

Communication

It is important during this time, that people keep in touch with each other, particularly those ‘shielding’ or ‘isolating’ on their own. So please keep in contact with your friends in the Croquet Section and help if you are able.

Best wishes to you all.  Keep well.
