Art Exhibition and Sale 2020
The Art Exhibition and Sale 2020 is OPEN now as an exciting and colourful, online 3D art gallery.
This is an easy and enjoyable way for you to see the artwork from your own home and to buy or commission a Christmas present!
There are a record 47 artists this year exhibiting 130 paintings and drawings. Many are new and exciting artists who are exhibiting with us for the first time. We are sure you will enjoy the different influences, painting styles and brush strokes.
We recommend strongly that on your first visit to the gallery website you click ‘Start Guided Tour’. This takes you on a 15-minute tour, pausing in front of each artwork, without any need to navigate yourself.

Autumn Art Lectures
We finished this year’s art lectures with a fascinating talk on the Glasgow Boys and Scottish Colourists. This showed the influences from France, Japan and Holland on these groups of artists as they emerged from Glasgow at the height of the city’s economic power.
The next lecture to add to your diaries is 19th January 2021 – Looking Over the Arts’ Shoulder: the Italian Sketchbooks of J.M.W. Turner by Nicola Moorby
This will be followed by a full program covering Winston Churchill, Vermeer, Grayson Perry, John Piper and Graham Sutherland.
Autumn Term Art Classes
The art classes are in full swing with some wonderful artwork being created. You can see many of these in the online art exhibition.
Spring term will start on the 11th January 2021 and run until the 26th March 2021, with a break for half term. There will be a full program of all seven classes each week.
We should assume that everyone will be on zoom; but let’s hope some of us can get back into the art studio when Government restrictions allow.
We like to allow existing students to continue in their classes so that they can continue to progress their art skills. They have until 2nd December to sign on again
Priority booking for the rest of the Art Group runs from the 3rd to 10th December 2020.
General Member booking is from 10th December until shortly before term starts.
