Roehampton Golf History
We are extremely proud of Roehampton Club’s long golfing history. We own a host of beautiful trophies over a century old; our course has hosted matches with three times Open Champion Henry Cotton and the leading players of that era. The Club boasted the Duke of York and Winston Churchill as past Members, Lloyd George as a Past Captain and past Club Professional Syd Scott was a distinguished Ryder Cup golfer and competed in the US Masters.

Golf at Roehampton Today
In 2010 the golf facilities and course underwent significant investment and development and 2011 welcomed in the first year of full usage of all these improvements. The main feature changes improved the shaping and positioning of all the bunkers and to tackle the drainage issues. A water harvesting tank was introduced to recycle rain water as well as new target greens for the practice ground and a new chipping and putting green. The Golf Committee and the membership are delighted with the finished product and our goal of achieving a consistent high quality course for year round play is now bearing fruit.
Our brand new 17th and 18th greens and surrounds have added a showcase finish and the golf course has truly been brought to life with imaginative design and modern contouring to improve the entire playing experience.
The Course
Roehampton Club offers a challenging 18-hole parkland course (par 71, 6043 yards) a practice hole, practice and teaching area, putting green and seperate chipping green. From the ladies' tees the course measures 5515 yards with a Par of 72.

All the sections are thriving and the Club's Golf programme provides opportunities for social and match play through competitions, leagues, teams and roll-ups. Monthly competitions and matches against neighbouring clubs make up the full and varied fixture list.
